Cloudy And Damp For Our Tuesday Morning – Mid Michigan

Cloudy And Damp For Our Tuesday Morning – Mid Michigan

We woke to cloudy skies and a very heavy dew this morning.  At least, the temperatures are mild.  Yesterday was a partly cloudy day and a bit breezy, but we had warm temperatures and it was quite nice.  Today is expected to be a little warmer and it should be another pleasant mid-September day. Our 9:45 AM temperature is 60°F (16°C), the humidity is 99% and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the NE at 3 mph and there was…

Cloudy With Showers For Our Sunday – Mid Michigan

Cloudy With Showers For Our Sunday – Mid Michigan

We are looking forward to a nice, warm week ahead.  Even though autumn is right around the corner, summer will be holding on for a bit longer.  My hope is that it will continue well into October.  Today is expected to be a little wet but not a wash out by far.  Temperatures will be comfortable and that is fine with me. Our 9:15 AM temperature is 66°F (19°C), the humidity is76%. and winds are from the SW at 8…

More Rain, Storms For Our Friday The 13th – Mid Michigan

More Rain, Storms For Our Friday The 13th – Mid Michigan

There is a line of showers and thunderstorms moving in on us from the west that seems to be diminishing a bit as they approach.  If they don’t make it, that will be okay as we sure don’t need anymore right now after Wednesday’s storms.  This morning is very damp and cloudy but the temps have risen overnight.  Yesterday never made it to 70°F and it was a bit misty much of the day.  Today should be better. Our 10…

Wind Damage, Flooding Rains For Our Wednesday – Mid Michigan

Wind Damage, Flooding Rains For Our Wednesday – Mid Michigan

Yesterday was everything that they promised us it would be.  Heavy storms moved across the state dropping up to 3 inches of rain n some places and severe wind damage in others.  There were multiple tornado and severe storm warnings issued throughout the late afternoon and evening.  My area was spared but we did get 1.65″ of rain and a floor advisory was issued last night.  I haven’t heard the extent of storm damage yet but I know that the…

Tuesday’s Storms Could Repeat Tonight – Mid Michigan

Tuesday’s Storms Could Repeat Tonight – Mid Michigan

Although my area was spared from any severe weather yesterday, the Bay City, Midland, and thumb areas weren’t so lucky.  There were various funnel clouds spotted resulting in tornado warnings but I haven’t heard of any actual touch-downs.  Wind damage was wide spread and many went through the night without power.  We are warned that tonight could give us a repeat performance.  We did have a shower earlier in the day which left 0.15″ in my rain gauge.  Right now,…

Summer-Like Temperatures And Rain For Our Tuesday – Mid Michigan

Summer-Like Temperatures And Rain For Our Tuesday – Mid Michigan

Today began with cloudy skies and now the rain has moved in.  Temps are expected to reach the mid 80s this afternoon and they have a ways to go if that’s going to happen.  Temperatures should remain very warm for the remainder of this week and that will seem good.  I’m not ready for fall weather yet. Our noon temperature is 69°F (21°C), the humidity is 81% and we have overcast skies and moderate rain.  Winds are from the SW…

A Cloudy, Damp Monday Morning In Mid Michigan

A Cloudy, Damp Monday Morning In Mid Michigan

This morning is dark and dreary with a few stray raindrops adding to the mix.  The forecast is calling for a little sun this afternoon and I hope that it happens.  The days are becoming noticeably shorter and it is totally dark now by 8:30 PM.  These past few days have been chilly but our forecast is calling for hot temps for the end of the week.  Maybe that will be summer’s last hurrah but I hope not.  I’m just…

A Sunny But Chilly Sunday For Mid Michigan

Today will only see high temps in the upper 60s, but with the sun, it shouldn’t be too bad of a day.  Fall is really in the air and we can see a few trees beginning to show a little color  There is no rain in the forecast until the end of this week , and with that the 80s will return once again.  Summer isn’t quite over yet and that’s fine with me.  What summer we did have went…

It’s Really Starting To Feel Like Fall – Mid Michigan

It’s Really Starting To Feel Like Fall – Mid Michigan

Yesterday was damp and cool with our high not even reaching 70°.  We had a rain shower, which left 0.23″ in my rain gauge, around noon.  The remainder of the day was cloudy with very few peeks of the sun.  I don’t think today is going to be much better although there is no rain in the forecast and temperatures should be a little warmer.  We are beginning to see some color in the trees and bushes and I’m hoping…

A Damp, Wet, Cool Friday For Mid Michigan

A Damp, Wet, Cool Friday For Mid Michigan

Our day started out with clouds, and rain was showing on radar, but I thought that it would stay to our north.  My son had a procedure done at the hospital this morning, and when we were ready to leave, it was pouring.  We had some shopping to do after, and when we came out of the store, the rain had stopped and there didn’t seem to be anymore heading our way on radar.  Right now, the clouds remain and…
