A Possible Winter Storm Heading In Our Direction – Mid Michigan

Yesterday was cloudy, but we had some clearing late giving us this beautiful sunset.  Today has been sunny with a few clouds, and temps are quite mild.  Unfortunately, winds are very strong making it very cold indeed.  I received a text message from AccuWeather stating that we are in a line expecting a substantial snow event beginning this weekend and into early next week.  There are two storms heading this way, and the first is expected to bring about 1-3 inches.  There really isn’t too much info yet on the second storm or which direction that it will take.  If it comes our way, it could be our first major snowstorm of the season.  We’ll have to keep an eye on this one.

Our 2:15 PM temperature is 40F (4C), the humidity is 65%, and winds are from the W at 30 mph, gusting to 26 mph.  The pressure is 29.70 n (1005.8 mb) and falling.  The wind chill is 29F (-2C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  Skies are partly cloudy.  Yesterday’s high was 30F (-1C) and the overnight low was 28F (-2C).  Average temps for this date are 27F / 15F.  Sunrise was at 8:01 AM and sunset will be at 5:34 PM.
