A Beautiful, Glorious Sunny Saturday In Mid Michigan

Although temperatures are very cold, the sun is bright and it raises one’s spirits just to look outdoors.  It was only 10F when I got up this morning and it has since warmed into the upper 20s.  Unfortunately it won’t last long.  There are several weather systems heading our way. The first should arrive tomorrow and could drop a couple inches of snow.  The second one is more potent, but last reports indicate that it should remain to our south.  So it seems that our “snow drought” won’t be ending anytime soon.  I just know that we’re going to get a big one yet before this winter season ends.  I just hope it isn’t in late March or even April.  That would be just our luck.

Our 1:45 PM temperature is 27F (-3C), the humidity is 61%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the SW at 3-10 mph, giving us a wind chill of 21F (-6C).  The pressure is 30.47 in (1031.8 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 13F (-11C).  Yesterday’s high was 40F (4C) and the overnight low was 9F (-13C).  Average temps for this date are 26F / 14F. Sunrise was at 7:59 AM and sunset will be at 5:36 PM.
