Melting Snow, Added Rain Totals = Flood Warnings – Mid Michigan

After two very mild days, and a few heavy downpours, we now have a flooding problem in my area.  The Shiawassee River is near flood stage, and recent ice jams on the river in Owosso has caused a lot of grief.  Not only is there high water, but big hunks of ice coming ashore causing property damage.  Sometimes it doesn’t pay to have waterfront property.

Our 12:15 PM temp is 23°F, the humidity is 67%, and winds are from the WNW at 5-13 mph.  The dew point is 12°F and the pressure is 30.17 in and rising.   Yesterday’s high was 35°F and the overnight low was 21°F.  Average temps for this date are 31°F / 17°F.  Sunrise was at 7:22 AM and sunset will be at 6:18 PM.
