No Severe weather For Michigan

No Severe weather For Michigan

Having watched the weather happening in all the states south of us yesterday, Michigan lucked out once again.  There were many tornadoes, as well as severe storms which produced damaging winds and large hail, and we had the chance of seeing some of that here in Michigan.  But the storms came as far north as Ohio and started dying out.  We did received 0.35″ of rain during the day with very little of it overnight.  This morning began with clear…

Severe Weather A Possibility In Mid Michigan Today

After a very nice Tuesday, today probably will not be very pleasant.  We could be in line for some pretty hefty storms this afternoon and tonight.  Yesterday brought, what has become, a weekly rash of tornadoes from the deep south up into Minnesota.  Today may be our turn, although chances remain quite low.  There is another cold front knocking on our door and even snow has been mentioned for this upcoming week.  Whatever happens, we’ll just have to deal with…

More Chilly, Wet weather In Mid Michigan

Yesterday morning began with rain, and it continued until late afternoon.  Then the skies cleared and we had about two hours of sunshine.  Unfortunately, it didn’t last long, and we received more rain overnight.  Today is chilly once again and there are puddles standing everywhere.  The river is high and over it’s banks in many places.  The storm systems that have been affecting the eastern portions of the country seem to be unrelenting, and keep training in from the west. …

After a very blustery Thursday, winds are much calmer today, but it feels like winter once again.  A few minutes ago, we were having a snow shower.  Now the sun is out.  That’s what we can expect most of today.  We had wind gusts yesterday up to 45 mph, but they diminished considerably by the end of the day.  Temperatures were in the mid 50s early but continued falling all day.  By 6 PM, it was only around 40F.  That…
