This will be the hottest day that we’ve had so far this year, with possible record-breaking temperatures.  The heat index could reach well over 100°F, and it seems appropriate that it will happen on the first day of summer.  Yesterday brought mostly cloudy skies and there was some rain in the state, but it stayed well to our north and east.  The remainder of this week is expected to be dry, but with these hot temps, there is always the possibility of a pop-up storm.
