We Still Have Smoke – Mid Michigan
It looks like a lovely day out there, but we can still see a lot of smoke in the air and we are being warned to not go outdoors without a good mask. The Air Quality Index is still at an unhealthy level and it is suppose to improve this weekend. We had a thunderstorm just miss us last night, as it moved to our north. We did get a few sprinkles from it but not enough to matter. The possibility of rain continues in our forecast over the next several days and we could sure use more. Today will be a hot and humid one, with highs nearing 90°F. With this smoke in the air, we wouldn’t want to be outdoors anyway, so guess it doesn’t matter.
Our 1:15 PM temperature is 85°F (29°C), the humidity is 58% and winds are from the W at 3-5 mph. The dew point is 64°F (18°C) and the pressure is 29.97 in (1014.9 mb) and steady. Visibility is 9 miles. The Air Quality Index is unhealthy at 140, and the UV Index is very high at 9. Yesterday’s high was 85°F (29°C) and the overnight low was 61°F (16°C). Average temps for this date are 82°F/59°F. Sunrise was at 6:01 AM and sunset will be at 9:20 PM.
