Wildfire Smoke And Severe Weather For Today – Mid Michigan
Today will be one of those days when we wonder what will happen. Our area is in the enhanced severe weather zone, but until the storms come, our air is still unhealthy from the wildfire smoke. The local forecasters are pretty certain that today will be rough, weather-wise, and that doesn’t sound good. To make matters worse, highs will reach near 90°F (32°C). Our AC is now working and I’m thankful for that. Storms are supposed to roll in by late afternoon and evening. Hopefully, not too much damage will occur.
Our 10AM temperature is 77°F (25°C), the humidity is 73% and skies are partly cloudy and smoke filled. Winds are from the SE at 0-5 mph, and the pressure is 29.91 in (1012.9 mb) and falling. The dew point is 64°F (18°C) and visibility is 6 miles. The Air Quality Index is unhealthy at 145, and the UV Index is moderate at 4. The real feel temp is 83°F (28°C). Yesterday’s high was 86°F (30°C) and the overnight low was 62°F (17°C). Average temps for this date are 82°F/60°F. Sunrise was at 6:22 AM and sunset will be at 9:06 PM.
