Cooler And Cloudy . . . . .
Today is back to more normal weather for mid April. Although we love the unseasonable warm temps, we always know that we can’t expect them to last, and it always brings the possibility of severe weather. We were under a severe thunderstorm watch for most of our Wednesday afternoon, and we did have a good amount of rain, thunder and lightning, but nothing that I would call severe. Lansing was under a tornado warning briefly but I haven’t heard of any actual tornadoes. Regardless, we did receive strong winds and almost half an inch of rain.
Our 1:30 PM temperature is 58°F, the humidity is 68%, and winds are from the WNW at 3-9 mph. The pressure is 30.12 in and steady. Skies are overcast. Visibility is 15 miles and the dew point is 46°F. Yesterday’s high was 71°F and the overnight low was 48°F. Average temps for this date are 58°F/36°F. The record high for April 17 is 85°F set in 1964, and the record low is 0°F set in 1875. Sunrise was at 6:49 AM and sunset will be at 8:23 PM.
