Rain Brought Cooler Temps . . . .

We received a good dousing of rain last night which left 0.55″ in my rain gauge.  This morning is mostly cloudy but no more showers have happened.  Rain remains in our forecast, but nothing much is showing on radar at this time.  Temperatures will be a little cooler today but it won’t last long.  Another blast of hot air will be with us for the weekend.  Then we can look forward to more comfortable temps next week.

Our 11 AM temperature is 77°F, the humidity is 88%, and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds are from the north at 0-5 mph, and the pressure is 29.88 in and rising.  Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 69°F.  Yesterday’s high was 88°F and the overnight low was 65°F.  Average temps for this date are 81°F/61°F.  The record high for July 1 was 100°F set in 1988, and the record low was 38°F set in 1895.  Sunrise was at 6:30 AM, and sunset will be at 8:58 PM.
