Hot And Humid Ends, At Least For Now . . . .

After scattered rain showers yesterday, today will be much cooler and brighter.  The rain has ended, and we should see a lot of sun for the next four days.  The entire weekend brought intermittent rain showers  , some quite heavy, and we received almost two inches of rain total.  There certainly hasn’t been a scarcity of rain this summer, and that has been great for the farmers.

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 63°F (17°C), the humidity is 82%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the north at 1-7 mph, and the pressure is 30.00 in (1015.9 mb) and rising.  The dew point is 55°F (13°C), and visibility is 11 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 76°F (24°C), and the overnight low was 58°F (14°C).  Average temps for this date are 80°F/58°F.  Record temps for August 18 are 95°F (1947), and 40°F (1896).  Sunrise was at 6:48 AM, and sunset will be at 8:34 PM.
