Cooler Temps, Thunderstorms . . . .

Yesterday brought a sunny beginning, that ended with strong to severe thunderstorms.  We didn’t have any damage here in my area, but there was plenty to our south.  My son lives in Northville, and my daughter in Howell.  They were both without power late yesterday.  We didn’t even get that much rain, just 0.22″.  I’m seeing that southern areas, including Detroit, got as much a 3 inches.  We could still see more rain today as another cold front comes our way.

Our 11 AM temperature is 78°F, the humidity is 95%, and winds are calm.  The pressure is 29.94 in and steady, and the dew point is 75°F.  Visibility is 11 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 93°F, and the overnight low was 70°F.  Average temps for this date are 78°F/56°F.  Record temperatures for August 27 are 98°F (1973), and 36F (1888).  Sunrise was at 6:58 AM, and sunset will be at 8:19 PM.
