Air Quality Alert . . . .

Air Quality Alert . . . .

Once again, we are dealing with smoke sent to us compliments of Canada.  An air quality alert has been issued for those with breathing problems, and even those who don’t shouldn’t be outdoors too much.  Yesterday brought us some rain and we got a little over an inch here.  Now the sky has cleared and temperatures are making their way up to the mid 70s.  Yesterday was too warm for my liking but the rest of the week should be comfortable.

Our 2 PM temperature is 7°F, the humidity is 65%, and skies are mostly clear with smoke haze.  Winds are from the ENE at 4-6 mph, and the pressure is 30.04 in and steady.  The dew point is 54°F, and visibility is 8 miles.  The air quality is an unhealthy 164, and the UV is very high at 8.  Yesterday’s high was 88°F and the overnight low was 58F.  Average temps for this date are 75°F/54°F.  Record temps for June 4 are 98°F (1934) and 35°F (1998).  Sunrise was at 5:59 AM and sunset will be at 9:12 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Today:   Hazy with a mix of sun and clouds.  High 75°F.  Winds ENE at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:  Increasing clouds.  Low in the lower 50s.  Winds ENE at 5-10 mph.

Friday:  Mostly cloudy.  High in the mid 70s.  Winds light and variable.
