Wet With Falling Temperatures . . . .

We reached 60°F this morning, but now temperatures are quickly falling and we have overcast skies and drizzle.  Winds are very strong, making being outdoors very uncomfortable.  The flu is rampant in our state and my husband and I got our flu shots today.  I usually don’t get one, but since I’m getting older, I thought I’d get one this year.

Our 1:30 PM temperature is 41°F, the humidity is 82%, and winds are from the west at 20-30 mph, although it seems to be calming down a little now.  The pressure is 29.72 in and rising.  The dew point is 35°F and visibility is 5 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 60°F and the overnight low was 52°F.  Average temps for this date are 31°F/20°F.  Record temps for Jan. 8 are 62°F (2008) and -9°F (2022).  Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:20 PM.

Today:  Cloudy and windy. Falling temps .  The high this morning was 60F.  Winds are from the WNW at 20-25 mph. with gusts as high was 40 mph.  A few showers are possible.  Chance of rain 60%.

Tonight:  Partly to mostly cloudy.  Lows in the upper 20s.  Winds NNE at 5-10 mph.

Saturday:  A chance of freezing rain early, changing to snow by noon.  Highs in the mid 30s.  Winds SE at 5-10 mph.  Chance of precip 90%.
