Post Tropical Storm Beryl left her calling card last night and early today. The rain has finally stopped and radar is showing most of it past us. There was 2.52″ in my rain gauge at 8:30 this morning, and we received another 0.43″ since then. Temperatures have cooled off remarkably and it feels good. The Gulf coast of Texas is bracing for what could be a significant hurricane. Storm surge is expected to be massive, as well as a widespread tornadic event. As for us, we could see the effects on Wednesday, with thunderstorms and heavy rain amounts which could cause flooding. Mid Michigan was pounded by severe storms yesterday afternoon. There was even on unconfirmed tornado, somewhere in the thumb area. Other than that, there was wind damage reported in Clare county.
