I heard that there were seven tornadoes late yesterday which struck the southwest corner of our state. There was only supposed to be a very slight chance of severe weather, and even a lesser chance for tornadoes. Portage, MI got the worst of it, but there was damage in other areas as well. Looking at the national weather map, it appears that the storm chasers won’t be bored today. Unfortunately, these storms seem to keep attacking the same areas almost everyday. Plus now many of the affected areas are dealing with flooding as well. One YouTube forecaster said that grapefruit size hail will be possible with some of these storms.
