We were surprised this morning by a sudden snow squall. It left about half an inch on the ground and was wet enough to stick to the trees. It has stopped for now but I think that there is more on the way looking at the radar. It snowed hard enough that visibility was reduced to less than a mile. Local forecasts are saying that we could get 3 inches by late tomorrow. I really don’t dislike snow this time…
Today really looks and feels like November. It is cold and temperatures are remaining in the upper 30s. The high was supposed to reach 40°F today but I don’t think it’s going to make it. At least it isn’t windy so not much wind chill to deal with. The remainder of this week has snow/rain in the forecast everyday. Yesterday was another beautiful day here in mid Michigan. Temps rose into the mid to upper 70s which broke many records. Temperatures are a little cooler today but it is otherwise very nice. Skies are mostly clear with a few clouds passing over, and winds are light to moderate. Yesterday’s blustery conditions resulted in an extraordinary sunset which drew a lot of attention from area photographers. The picture above is just one, but there are many more on the Michigan weather group on Facebook. These pictures are amazing and the sky kept changing colors every few minutes. Daylight Savings Time ends tonight. We are under a wind advisory today until 9PM, with gusts expected up to 50 mph.
