I know that I often complain that all the big storms miss us. Well, that wasn’t the case last night. We had two powerful storms move over us late last night about an hour apart. The first dropped 0.74″ of rain, and the second 0.28″. Today began with a few drops of rain but not enough to even measure. Southern Michigan got hammered with heavy thunderstorms, measuring well over an inch in many places. A line of heavy, severe storms moved to the southeast, from Wisconsin, through Illinois and Ohio, and just brushed the southern counties of Michigan. All my kids were home for the weekend and we made a big fire last night in celebration of our country’s birthday.
