Getting Very Dry In Mid Michigan

Today is the beginning of the 4th of July weekend and our weather is expected to be great.  They predicted rain for us this afternoon, but right now, it seems doubtful.  We sure could use it.  Yesterday’s high rose close to the 90 degree mark, and today should be a bit cooler with a weak cold front moving over the state.  Yesterday, a local meteorologist said that we could get half an inch to an inch of rain this afternoon, but the rain that was heading our way from the northwest, has since fallen apart.  So unless more develops, I guess we’ll remain dry.

Our 11 AM temperature is 77°F, the humidity is 60%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the SW at 3-8 mph, and the dew point is 60°F.  The pressure is 29.70 in and steady.  Visibility is 11 miles.  Sunrise was at 6:01 AM and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 89°F and the overnight low was 70°F.  Average temps for this date are 81°F / 58°F.
