Today may be the last of our warm fall days so we should take advantage of it and enjoy it. Highs in the 60s are expected today and tomorrow, but after that, it is expected to feel more like November. Usually by now, almost all the leaves are off the trees, but the maples are still hanging onto theirs. Today has been fairly nice with mild temps and light winds. The morning was a bit sunny but now more clouds have moved in. We are expecting a substantial warm-up over the weekend and into next week with highs reaching into the lower 60s. We had our first snow shower yesterday evening. It all melted on contact but I could see large, white flakes falling in my yard light. Most of the maples and oaks are holding on to their leaves, so hoping for no heavy snow amounts anytime soon. I can’t remember ever having leaves on the trees this late in the season. Today is Halloween and we finally have some decent weather for it. The past 4-5 Halloweens have been cold and rainy. We are finally seeing color on our trees after several very chilly nights. After two days of rain, it has finally stopped. Today is the big game between Michigan State and Univ. of Michigan and the weather should be dry in time for it.
