The snow began yesterday around 1 PM and we had whiteout conditions at times. It is light and fluffy, so easy to shovel. We received 3 inches of new snow and our snow cover is now about 5.2 inches. We had a one-day respite from winter yesterday with highs reaching the low to mid 40s. We lost about half our snow cover but now what is left is hard and crusty. We just had a brief snow squall move through but it didn’t last long enough to accumulate. The winds have picked up once again and that will make it even feel colder. Altogether, this storm left us with about 5 inches of snow cover. We were lucky and didn’t get much if any freezing rain like many other areas did.
