After intermittent snow showers most of our Sunday, today is starting out the same way. We received about 2 inches yesterday and are getting a little more today. My weather station showed -1F this morning at 8:30. All other nearby weather stations showed temps in the teens. Why was it so much colder at my house? Our day began with clear skies and sun. Now we have overcast skies and snow flurries. The central portions of the country are being buried under snow and ice.
