This morning is very mild after a line of showers and thunderstorms moved over the state overnight from the northwest. They didn’t reach us until 6:30 this morning, and all that that remained were some light showers. There was only 0.09″ in my gauge at 8:30 AM. Today is beginning with mostly clear skies, cool temperatures, and there is a slight chance of rain later in the day. I love the month of June. Everything seems so green and fresh, Nature hasn’t been affected yet by molds, fungus, and heat. The evenings are very quiet with an occasional sound of a bird or a barking dog. Today is the first day of summer, meteorlogically speaking, and it looks like it will be a good one. There is no rain expected and decreased winds from what we have been having.
