It’s a Dreary, Cold Morning in Mid Michigan

Although we haven’t seen anything is the way of snow or sleet yet, it certainly feels cold enough for some frozen precipitation.  Yesterday brought us some light rain early in the day and there was 0.07″ in my gauge this morning.  I had to work so the weather didn’t really affect me much, but today we need to get out and get some yard stuff done.  The lawn needs mowing and I suspect that we won’t be doing that too many more time.  There is still some outdoor furniture that isn’t put away yet, and I wait until our first forecast of snow to do that.  That probably isn’t too far off.

Our 9:15 AM temperature is 37.8°F (3°C), the humidity is 60%, and skies are overcast.  The dew point is 31°F (0°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.79 in (1008.5 mb) and steady.  Yesterday’s high was 52°F (11°C) and the overnight low was 36°F (3°C).  Averages for this date are 56°F / 36°F.  The record high for Oct. 27 is 79°F (27°C)  set in 1927, and the record low is 19°F (-7°C) set in 1976.  Sunrise was at 8:06 AM EDTand sunset will be at 6:33 PM EDT.
