This bitterly cold weather is getting old.  I can’t remember when it has been this cold for such an extended period of time, and there is no end in sight.  The snow doesn’t bother me that much, but I hate this extreme cold weather.  Skies were clear and everything was covered with frost this morning in addition to the snow.  It looked pretty but sure didn’t feel that way.  It was -7° when I got up and has warmed up a few degrees since then.  Highs today will be a little warmer than the past two days, but not enough to really notice.  There are no average temperatures in our extended forecast at all.

Right now (9:30 AM EST), our temp is -4°F (-20°C), the humidity is 81%, and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds are calm and the dew point is -8°F (-22°C).  The pressure is 30.66 in (1038.0 mb) and falling.  Yesterday’s high was 12°F (-11°C), and the overnight low was -11°F (-24°C).  Averages for this date are 31°F / 17°F.   The record high for Dec. 27 is 53°F (12°C) set in 1959, and the record low is -10°F (-23°C) set in 1925.  I think that was broken last night.
