A Quiet, Calm New Year’s Eve For Mid Michigan
Our New Year’s Eve day will be calm but very frigid. The high is expected to only reach the single digits. I hope that everyone stays safe through the weekend as there will be a lot of drinking going on, and they all won’t have designated drivers. Yesterday brought some excitement to the Traverse City area. A cold air funnel was spotted over the bay and most had no idea what it was. They couldn’t believe that there would be a “snownado” in the dead of winter. For my Facebook friends, I have pictures on my page. There was no mention if it actually touched ground. But here in Mid Michigan, conditions were calm and uneventful. In fact, we had quite a bit of sun and just a short-lived snow shower early in the day.
