Happy New Year From Mid Michigan

Happy New Year From Mid Michigan

Our 2018 is beginning with calm but very chilly temperatures.  Unfortunately, there is no reprieve anytime soon from the frigid weather that has affected us for the past couple of weeks.  At least there are no major storms knocking on our door, and our snow cover remains at about 4 inches.  Wind speeds haven’t been too bad so that’s a good thing.  Hopefully, we’ll get some milder weather next week.

Our 9:30 AM EST temperature is 7.2°F (-14°C),  the humidity is 72%, and winds are from the west at 9 mph giving us a wind chill of -7°F (-22°C).   Skies are overcast and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 30.48 in (1031.9 mb) and steady.  Skies are cloudy.  Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:12 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 12°F (-11°C) and the overnight low was 4°F (-16°C).  Average temps for this date are 31°F / 21°F.
