Rain is Over but Flood Warnings Remain – Mid Michigan
To say that we are sick of rain is an understatement. We barely got a break from it yesterday except for a few 5 minute periods here and there. Our total since Monday night is 2.96 inches, 1.76 of that was yesterday alone. Everything near any waterways are flooded once again. We have water standing in our yard where there usually is none and walking across the lawn feels like a sponge. On the positive side, all of the snow is gone. Yesterday’s high broke some records and the 60 degree temperatures felt lovely in spite of the rain.
Our 10:15 AM temp is 36°F (2°C), the humidity is 93%, and skies are cloudy. The dew point is 31°F (0°C) and winds are from the NW at 9 mph. The pressure is 30.39 in (1028.8 mb) and rising. Visibility is 10 miles. Sunrise was at 7:26 AM and sunset will be at 6:16 PM. Yesterday’s high was 61°F (16°C) and the overnight low was 34°F (1°C). Average temps for this date are 34°F / 17°C. The record high for Feb. 20 is 65°F (18°C) set in 1930, and the record low is -20°F (-29°C) set in 1929.
