Our Final Monday of February Brings Springlike Weather – Mid Michigan
Yesterday really felt like spring in spite of the strong winds. We were under a wind advisory until 2 PM, and even after that winds continued to be uncomfortably strong. Wind gusts were as high as 50 mph in some places and many lost power. Today is expected to be beautiful with clear skies and light winds. Unfortunately, I have to work this afternoon. I’m hearing that March could be coming in like a lion with more heavy rain possible. That certainly isn’t a good thing with many areas still under water, but at least it isn’t snow.
Our 9 AM temp is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 61% and winds are from the WSW at 8 mph. The wind chill is 28°F (-2°). The pressure is 30.20 in (1022.4 mb) and rising. Visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 48°F (9°C) and the overnight low was 31°F (-1°C). Averages for this date are 32°F / 18°F. Sunrise was at 7:17 AM and sunset will be at 6:21 PM.
