Memorial Day in Mid Michigan
Yesterday was lovely but more severe storms developed in the late afternoon over the central areas of the state. They moved to our northeast and we were not affected. My kids are here for the weekend and we had a campfire late last night. It was a beautiful night with temps in the mid 60s, a bright moon, and no breeze. Highs today will reach the low 90s and it is already a very warm morning.
Our 9:30 AM temp is 77°F (25°C), the humidity is 72%, and skies are clear. Winds are from the SSE at 4 mph and the pressure is 29.98 in (1014.9 mb) and rising. The dew point is 66°F (19°C). Sunrise was at 6:02 AM and sunset will be at 9:05 PM. Visibility is 10 miles and the heat index is 78°F (26°C). Yesterday’s high was 92°F (33°C) and the overnight low was 63°F (17°C). Averages for this date are 70°F / 49°F. The record high for May 27 was 90°F set in 1987 and the record low is 31°F set in 1994. So once again, there is a new record high.
