Unseasonably Hot Weather Continues in Mid Michigan

Our weather has felt like mid July with highs in the the low 90s the past few days.  Today should be a little cooler but still 15-20 degrees above the average;  much cooler temps are expected by week’s end.  The remnants of Alberto will be visiting us by mid week although there is nothing severe expected.  We should have  temperatures back in the normal range by next weekend.  For those who were hoping for summer weather over the holiday weekend, they certainly got their wish.

Our 8:45 AM temp is 74°F (23°C),  the humidity is 63%, and winds are from the ENE at 3 mph.  The pressure is 30.00 in (1015.6 mb) and rising.  The dew point is 62°F (17°C) and skies are mostly clear.  Sunrise was at 6:01 AM and sunset will be at 9:06 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 91°F (33°C) and the overnight low was 68°F (20°C).  Averages for this date are 72°F / 49°F.  The record high for May 28 is 93°F (34°C) set in 2012, and the record low is 31°F (-1°C) set in 2008.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. East wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. East wind 6 to 8 mph.
Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Southeast wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
