Remaining Very Chilly In Mid Michigan

Remaining Very Chilly In Mid Michigan

We won’t see high temperatures in the 30s again until Saturday, then  they should moderate through next week.  January has been very quiet for my area with not much precipitation and no drastically cold temperatures.  All the bad weather stays to our north and I’m certainly not complaining.  I’m sure that we won’t be this lucky all winter, but now that I’m retired, I don’t really care if we get a major storm.

Our 9 AM temperature is 21°F (-6°C), the humidity is 70%, and winds are from the north at 9 mph.  The dew point is 14°F (-10°C) and the wind chill is 13°F (-11°C).  It is presently “flurrying” out there but hardly enough to notice.  We may see a little sun later today and that may warm it up a bit.  Visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 30.29 in (1025.7 mb) and rising.  Sunrise was at 8:06 AM and sunset will be at 5:21 PM.  The record high for Jan. 10 is 55°F (13°C) set in 1950, and the record low is -8°F (-22°C) set in 1962.
