Most of us are wondering if summer will ever happen this year. Once again we have temperatures much below normal, and it seems that the rain will never stop. We received another quarter of an inch overnight. We’ve been having to mow the lawn about every four days and parts of the yard can’t be mowed because it won’t dry up. Tuesday was beautiful, both in Northern Michigan and lower portions of the state. We drove home yesterday and had to detour around one road which had been washed out by Sunday’s storms. Yesterday began with a little sun and very mild temperatures. Then the rains came around mid afternoon, becoming very heavy by nightfall. We arrived here at the campground on Wednesday and the weather has been wonderful. Although a bit on the chilly side, at least the sun is shining.
