A Sunny Day Before The Next Rain Event – Northern Michigan

After the clouds cleared away yesterday, it turned into quite a nice day.  The morning was cold, windy, and damp, but the sky began to clear about 5 PM and the evening was very pleasant.  We took advantage of it and had our last campfire for this trip.  We were supposed to leave tomorrow, but there is another rain system moving it tonight, so we decided to leave today rather than having to pack up in the rain.  Some areas got up to 3-4 inches of rain, but my son said that we got 1.68″ at our house.  My sister-in-law said that there was 4 inches in her gauge at the cabins in Cheboygan.

Our 8:15 AM temperature is 53°F (12°C), the humidity is 77% and skies are clear.  Winds are from the west at 5 mph, and the pressure is 30.13 in (1020.3 mb) and falling.  The dew point is 46°F (8°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 78°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 53°F (12°C).  Averages for this date are 74°F / 46°F.  Sunrise this morning was at 5:51 AM and sunset will be at 9:27 PM.
