A Rainy Father’s Day Morning For Mid Michigan

A Rainy Father’s Day Morning For Mid Michigan

Looking at the radar, it appears that most of the rain is right over my area,.  Fortunately, it isn’t large so I don’t think that it will last too long.  Regardless, we don’t need anymore rain.  None of the farmers around here have done any planting.  Most of the fields are untouched.  The corn is supposed to be knee high by the fourth of July, and it isn’t even planted.  I don’t recall things ever being this bad for farmers.  We planted some tomato and pepper plants and they are turning yellow from too much rain.  We should be seeing temperatures near 80° by now and we’re lucky to see 70°.  I just hope that we don’t have this all summer long.

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 51°F (11°C), the humidity is 76%, and we have overcast skies with light rain.  There was 0.08″ in my gauge at 8:30 and it’s been raining constantly ever since.  The pressure is 29.88 in (1011.9 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Winds are from the NE at 3 mph.   Yesterday’s high was 72°F (22°C) and the overnight low was 51°F (11°C).  Average temps for this date are 79°F / 56°F.  Sunrise was at 5:57 AM and sunset will be at 9:18 PM.
