An Unseasonably Cold Day In Mid Michigan

Today began with clear skies but now clouds are filling most of the sky.  Temperatures are only in the 40s and there is a brisk wind from the north.  It feels more like March than mid April, but we are promised that warm temps are on the way.  In fact, next Tuesday could reach near 80°F.  Unfortunately, that also brings the possibility of some severe weather, although most is supposed to stay to our south.  Since I no longer get the weather channel, I’ve discovered a site on uTube called “Ryan Hall, Y’All”.  He’s a meteorologist and storm chaser and he gives a very detailed insight into future weather events over the entire country, and I love his weather graphics.  He also compares data from the different weather computers which I find interesting.  He has given a rundown of expected severe weather for next week, and so far Michigan seems to be out of danger.  But we know how quickly that can change.

Our 2:15 PM temperature is 45°F (7°C), the humidity is 38%, and winds are from the NNW at 5-15 mph, gusting to 20 mph.  Skies are mostly cloudy with a few breaks in the cloud cover.  The pressure is 30.02 in (1016.6 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 43°F (6°C) and the overnight low was 23°F (-5°C).  Average temps for this date are 59°F / 39°F.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:
