Very Warm, Possible Storms . . . .

We have near record temperatures today and tomorrow, but another cold front will move in, giving us the possibility of strong thunderstorms tonight and early tomorrow.  I’ve noticed many of the farmers are already getting their fields fit for planting, and this has been a good week for it with no rain.  It is unusual, however, for February.  Our temperatures will drop significantly after the storms, but another warm-up will come for the weekend.  I think I have only worn my winter coat about 5 times this winter.

Our 1:30 PM temperature is 52°F (11°C), the humidity is 52%, and winds are from the east at 3-6 mph.  Skies are clear but with a thin overlay of clouds or haze.  I’m wondering if it could be smoke. Visibility is 13 miles and the pressure is 29.80 in (1009.2 mb) and falling.  The dew point is 32°F (0°C).  Yesterday’s high was 52°F (11°C) and the overnight low was 29C (-2°C).  Average temps for this date are 36°F/20°F.  Record temps for Feb. 25 are 63°F (1976) and -16°F (1983).  Sunrise was at 7:19 AM and sunset will be at 6:22 PM.
