Heavy Rain But Warm Temps In Store For Mid Michigan

Temperatures as high as the 60s are in our forecast for this upcoming week, but with it comes heavy rain which has already produced flood watches in many areas.  We still have about 3.8 inches of snow cover but that won’t last long with the rain that’s expected.

This morning has been cloudy with a light mist but temps are on the rise and will continue to do so today.  The rain should begin this afternoon, continuing through tomorrow and even Wednesday morning.  We could see as much a 3 inches total by the time it is done.  Our 9:30 AM temp is 39°F (4°C), the humidity is 83%, and winds are from the S at 7 mph.  The pressure is 29.94 in (1014.6 mb) and falling.  The dew point is 32°F (0°C).  Visibility is 7 miles. Yesterday’s high was 38°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 34°F (1°C).  Averages for this date are 30°F / 16°F.

Tonight:  Showers and dense fog after 2 am.   Rising temps overnight to the low 50s by 5 am.   Winds SSW 11-13 mph.  Chance of rain 100%.  New precip amounts between one half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday:  Showers and a possible thunderstorm with some fog early.  Winds  SW at 10-15 mph, gusting as high as 30 mph.  Chance of rain 100%.  New rainfall amounts between one half to on inch possible.  High 64°F
