Today’s weather was a real treat with highs reaching the low 80s. We had sun all day with a few scattered clouds here and there. Clouds are on the increase now with possible showers moving in late tomorrow. We received o.41″ of rain overnight but some areas got well over an inch. Although we have rain in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight, this morning is lovely with plenty of sun and mild temperatures. Our daily highs have been a bit below average but this weekend will make up for it. We can expect temperatures to reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees both Saturday and Sunday. Our Easter Sunday was quite nice. There was some cloud cover in the early afternoon, but we had sun most of the day. Temperatures were a bit chilly but not as bad as today. It feels more like late March than mid April, and we are expecting up to an inch of snow. The Detroit area could get as much as 2-3 inches. Yesterday was very windy with gusts close to 50 mph in parts of the state. Today isn’t quite as windy but still expecting gusts close to 40 mph. Having watched the weather happening in all the states south of us yesterday, Michigan lucked out once again. There were many tornadoes, as well as severe storms which produced damaging winds and large hail, and we had the chance of seeing some of that here in Michigan. Today has been gorgeous, but unfortunately, it isn’t going to last. There is some very stormy weather expected this upcoming week although Michigan isn’t expected to be affected that much.
