Today is quite nice although very cold. Once again, there is an extreme drop in our temperatures with highs today remaining below the freezing mark. This seems to be happening every 3-4 days for us. Our weekend was quite nice after our 3.5″ snowfall on Thursday. Temperatures warmed up enough that most of it melted within three days. In fact, our ground cover right now is only about 50%. We received another 3.5 inches of snow overnight, and light snow flurries have continued most of the morning. Temperatures are a little warmer than yesterday, and where we shoveled on our deck, has melted in spite of the cold temperatures. After two very mild days, and a few heavy downpours, we now have a flooding problem in my area. The Shiawassee River is near flood stage, and recent ice jams on the river in Owosso has caused a lot of grief.
