We better enjoy today because tomorrow will bring in a big change in our weather. We will see significant drops in the temperatures that are expected to last through next week. At this time, there isn’t much rain expected with this cold front but highs will remain below average. Today and tomorrow will still see highs near 70° although some rain may move in late tomorrow. I guess we knew that this was coming, and at least there is no…
These past few days have really brought the color out on the trees. I guess it just takes some cold weather to do the trick. The past few days have been sunny and quite warm, but the nights are very chilly. Last night wasn’t as cold as Monday night but still quite brisk. There was some fog when I got up this morning. This may be the last of our warmer weather as next weeks forecast is calling for highs…
Monday was a beautiful day with sun all day long and just enough breeze to help dry the ground out a bit. Highs made it into the upper 60s, so it was quite pleasant. We can expect this weather to last most of this week, and then who knows what will happen? I’m hearing that “s” word but I think it is for more north of us. I have seen snow cover in October before although it doesn’t happen very…
After a very wet start to our October, we are finally getting some fine autumn weather. This entire week is supposed to be dry with plenty of sun and normal temperatures. Our weekend was quite nice although we did get a little rain on Friday. Today should see high temps in the upper 60s and breezy. We’ll take it! Our 9:15 AM temp is 52°F (11°C), the humidity is 85% and skies are partly cloudy. Winds are from the southwest…
Yesterday was the first time that we had the furnace on all day. Temperatures only make it up to the mid 50s and the wind made it even colder. At least we didn’t get any rain. Today’s forecast differs depending on who you are listening to, but I don’t think that any rain is expected until tonight. The sun did manage to peek out yesterday very briefly. I hope that we see more today and that it’s a little warmer….
We have received almost three inches of rain over the past three days and this deary weather is taking a toll on my mood. I haven’t been by the river lately but I’m sure that it is well over it’s banks. At least today should be the last of it according to latest forecast and we should see some sun tomorrow. We have received 4.21″ of rain since Sept. 28. That’s more than the normal precipitation amount for the entire…
The system which brought record snowfall to Montana is now over us, and I guess we should just be happy that we are getting rain and not snow. It started raining yesterday morning and continued throughout the night. The rain yesterday was intermittent and not that heavy. Last night, however, was a different story. A slow moving thunderstorm approached right around midnight and left 1.07″ in my rain gauge. That was in addition to the 0.38″ from earlier in the…
Although temperatures today will be almost record setting, with the heat comes another round of heavy rain. This will probably be the last of our 80 degree weather for the year, but I just wish that we had sun and pleasant weather to go with it. This morning is mostly cloudy with a few peeks of the sun, and there is a heavy dew. My flowers are pretty much done for the year except my dahlias. They seem to like…
We decided to pack up and return home one day early because of the weather. Rain was forecasted for most of Sunday and Monday morning, so we got on the road just as it started. It rained all the way home. Saturday began a bit wet but by afternoon, it was clear and sunny. The wind was a bit brisk however, and it made for a chilly day. We took a drive up to Mackinaw City and couldn’t believe how…
All it did yesterday was rain. We spent most of the day driving around and visiting relatives in Cheboygan, so it was a nice day in spite of the rain. Today should be dry but not much sun. Our campground is closing down little by little, and the seasonal people are showing up to pack up their RV’s and getting ready for storage or hauling them home. I’m expecting this weekend to be a bit busy since the campground officially…
