The Drama of Irma Continues Sept. 10, 2017

It’s hard to think about anything else these days with friends and relatives facing this horrible hurricane in Florida.  I know so many people there, many snowbirds and others who live there year round.  Thankfully, the snowbirds are still here and wondering if they’ll have anything to go back to there.  I have a niece and nephew in Tampa that wouldn’t leave, and the family is greatly concerned for their safety.

Here in Michigan, our cool weather continues with lows last night dipping again into the 30s.  Thankfully, we haven’t had a frost yet.  The extended forecast is calling for temps to be in normal ranges this coming week, and I hope it continues until we return from our last camping trip up north.

Our 9 AM temp is 47°F (8°C), the humidity is 88%, and winds are calm.  The pressure is 30.51 in (1032.9 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 7 mile and skies are clear.  The dew point is 46°F (7°C).  Yesterday’s high was 65°F (18°C) and the overnight low was 36°F (2°C).  Averages for this date are 77°F / 53°F.  Our low yesterday broke the record which was 37°F (1949), and the new record low is now 35°F.  The record high is 98°F (1933).
