The Heat Remains in Michigan, Great For Summer Lovers

The Heat Remains in Michigan, Great For Summer Lovers

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon on my in-law’s pontoon boat  on Mullet lake in Cheboygan.  It was wonderful.  The temperature was near 90°, but it was very comfortable out on the lake.  With it so late in the season, there weren’t many boats out there, and some were taking a few spins around the lake before putting them up for the season.  Winds were light so the water was quite calm.  Today will be slightly cooler than yesterday but not enough to really make a difference.  The real cool down will happen on Wednesday when temperatures will be closer to normal.

Our 9:30 AM Topinabee temp is 69°F (20°C), the humidity is 82% and the dew point is 63°F (17°C).  The pressure is 30.02 in (1016.3 mb), and visibility is 10 mies under clear skies.  Yesterday’s high was 91°F (33°C) and the overnight low was 57°F (14°C).  The previous record high for Sept. 24 was 87°F (31°C) set in 2007.  The new record is now 91°F (33°C) set yesterday.  The record low is 26°F set in 1976.  Averages are 65°F / 41°F.
