Another Warmup Heading Our Way – Mid Michigan

After waking to our first snow cover yesterday morning, today will bring warmer temperatures.  Halloween was not the best for our kids, but I don’t think they notice the cold weather as they aim for their quest of abundant candy and treats.  We never get any kids here where we live but it was fun watching them as I headed home from work.  The little ones are so excited and can hardly wait for mom or dad as they parade down the street.  But now that’s over for another year, and we have Thanksgiving creeping up on us.  The good thing about all of these holidays is that it takes our minds off the crummy weather that lies ahead.  We are expecting highs near 60° in the next few days, but unfortunately, more rain comes with it.  Oh well, what can we expect for November?

Our 10 AM temp is 36.6°F (3°C), the humidity is 62%, and skies are overcast.  We received a total of 0.40 inches of melted precip yesterday, one quarter of that was snow.  Winds are from the SSE at 3 mph, and the pressure is 30.10 in (1019.0 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Sunrise this morning was at 8:11 AM and sunset will be at 6:27 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 41°F (5°C) and the overnight low was 32°F (0°C).  Averages for this date are 54°F / 35°F.  The record high for Oct 31 is 80°F (27°C) set in 1933, and the record low is 15°C (-9°C) set in 1906.
