4.1 Inches of New Snow for Mid Michigan

4.1 Inches of New Snow for Mid Michigan

We had intermittent snow showers all day Sunday creating almost whiteout conditions at times.  What’s worse is that we have several more systems coming later this week.  We just can’t seem to keep the roads clear which is annoying for me.  I can’t go anywhere until my husband clears the driveway and the road commission clears our road.  My car has low profile tires and they are terrible in snow.  We received 4.2 inches in all and our ground cover is now 5.3 inches.  My son has been very diligent in shoveling the deck but it gets old when you have to do it every other day.  Oh well, enough complaining.

Our 10:15 AM temperature is 15°F (-9°C), the humidity is 72% and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the WSW at 10 mph giving us a wind chill of 1°F (-18°C).  The pressure is 30.20 in (1022.4 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 5°F (-15°C).  Sunrise was at 7:46 AM and sunset will be at 5:54 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 32°F (0°C) and the overnight low was 0°F (-18°C)  Averages are 28°F / 15°C.  The record high for Feb. 4 is 53°F set in 1991, and the record low is -16°F set in 1978.
