Another Round of Snow For Mid Michigan

Snow began in the early morning hours and is continuing to fall at this time.  We are under a winter weather advisory until 3 PM today.  I measured about 2.5 inches of new snow so far and our landscape is all white once again.  We could get another inch or two before it is done.  Our temperature is mild right now but is expected to fall as the day wears on.  I’m getting tired of shoveling.

Our 9 AM temp is 31°F (-1°C), the humidity is 94% and winds are from the N at 10 mph.  Skies are overcast with light snow.  The wind chill is 20°F (-7°C).  The pressure is 29.77 in (1007.8 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 1 mile and the dew point is 26°F (-3°C).  Yesterday’s high was 32°F (0°C) and the overnight low was 21°F (-6°C).  Averages for this date are 28°F / 15°F.  Sunrise was at 7:49 AM and sunset will be at 5:53 PM.  The record high for Feb. 3 is 53°F set in 1991, and the record low is -19°F set in 1912.

Today:   Snow, mainly before 3 pm.  New accumulation 2 inches.  Winds SSW at 7-16 mph turning to the north by noon.  Gusts up to 23 mph possible.  Chance of snow 100%.  High 30°F falling to around 15°F by 5 pm.

Tonight:   Partly cloudy with a low around 5°F.  Wind NW 6-14 mph turning to the WSW after midnight.  Wind chill values to -9°F.

Monday:  Partly sunny with a high of 21°F.   Wind SW at 10-14 mph.  Wind chill values to -8°F.

Monday Night:   A 50% chance of snow with a low of 12°F.  Winds SW at 7-9 mph
