Starting To Look Like Spring in Mid Michigan

We lost a lot of snow with the warm temperatures that we have had the past two days.  There is still about 5.5 inches of snow cover but it is continuing to melt with temps remaining above freezing.  The next few days will be cold but then another warmup following that.  Most of the ice is gone from the roads and my driveway, and I hope that it is gone for the remainder of the season.  That’s probably asking too much, I know.

Our 9:30 AM temp is 31°F (-1°C), the humidity is 71% and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the NW at 9 mph and the wind chill is 20°F (-7°C).  The pressure is 30.22 in (1016.3 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 10 miles.  The dew point is 22°F (-6°C).  Yesterday’s high was 46°F (8°C) and the overnight low was 28°F (-2°C).  Averages for this date are 30°F / 16°F.
