Clear and Cold for Mid Michigan

Our snow is gone except for patches here and there, and there is no precipitation in our forecast for the next week.  There are also no normal temperatures  in the forecast next week.  Although we aren’t receiving the nasty weather that is affecting the eastern states,  that storm pattern is responsible for our continued below-normal temperatures.  It will warm up briefly this weekend and I’m hoping that the remaining snow will finally be gone.

Our 9 AM temp is 22°F (-5°C), the humidity is 68% and winds are from the north at 12 mph. giving us a wind chill of 10°F (-12°F).  Skies are clear and visibility is 10 miles.  The dew point is 13°F (-10°C).  Sunrise was at 7:46 AM and sunset will be at 7:43 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 35°F (2°C) and the overnight low was 19°F (-7°C).  Averages for this date are 43°F / 23°F.  The record high for March 15 is 80°F set back in 2012 and the record low is 1°F set in 1925.
