A Break in the Weather Before the Next Storm – Mid Michigan

This morning seems peaceful with sun and light winds.  Unfortunately there is another winter event looming on our horizon.  Most of the snow that we received yesterday has already melted but we could see another 1-3 inches tomorrow.  At least, when it happens this time of year, we know that it won’t last very long.  It is depressing however to look out the window and see all white.  I’m still not seeing any sign of my spring flowers.

Our 9:45 AM temp is 30°F (-1°C), the humidity is 61%, and winds are from the west northwest at 10 mph.  The pressure is 30.17 in (1021.4 mb) and steady.  The wind chill is 19°F (-7°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  Sunrise was at 7:11 AM and sunset will be at 8:07 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 34°F (2°C) and the overnight low was 22°F (-5°C).  Averages for this date are 51°F / 33°F.  The record high for April 4 is 79°F set in 1999, and the record low is 12°F set in 1954.
