Continued Warm And Dry In Mid Michigan

We haven’t had any substantial rainfall now for almost a week and there are still areas of my yard that are like a sponge.  One would think that with temps in the mid to upper 80s that the ground would dry up quickly.  This entire week is expected to remain hot and dry with just the chance of pop up thunderstorms possible.  The forecast for Independence Day looks good, and even if there are a few storms that develop, it shouldn’t be a washout.

Our 9 AM temp is 72°F (22°C), the humidity is 67%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the SSW at 7 mph, and the pressure is 29.98 mb (1015.2 mb) and falling.  The dew point is 61°F (16°F) and visibility is 10 miles.  Sunrise was at 6:01 AM and sunset will be at 9:20 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 87°F (31°C) and the overnight low was 62°F (17°C).  Averages for this date are 81°F / 59°F.
