No More Hot Weather We Are Told – Mid Michigan

Local meteorologists are saying that this cool down will probably be permanent, and temperatures reaching into the 80s will be few and far between.  I’m hoping that they’re wrong although I love the 70s.  This has been a strange August.  We are usually baking in high temperatures, high humidity, and high dew points.  This year has been an exception.  We received a little rain overnight which we really needed, and I see that northern Michigan did also.   They were really dry up there with conditions ripe for wildfires.  Hopefully they got enough to do some good.  We got 0.18 in . . . . . not a lot but better than none.

Our 9:45 AM temperature is 73°F (23°C), the humidity is 82% and winds are from the west at 7 mph.   The dew point is 68°F (20°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.77 in (1008.1 mb) and steady.  Skies are cloudy.  Yesterday’s high was 78°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 70°F (21°C).  Averages for this date are 82°F / 57°F.  Sunrise was at 6:55 AM and sunset will be at 8:19 PM.
